What is VECTTOR Interferential Current Therapy?

VECTTOR interferential current therapy system is a novel FDA-approved pain therapy that has been designed to treat unmanageable chronic pain resulting from a wide variety of conditions and illnesses of which chronic pain is a symptom and for the treatment of post-surgical/trauma pain.

Individuals with conditions such as complex regional pain syndrome or CRPS (formerly known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy or RSD) and post-surgical pain related to arthritis, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), fibromyalgia, neuropathy, back pain, and other pains like migraine, joint and abdominal pain have mentioned that they have experienced relief from utilizing the VECTTOR therapy after just a few days of treatment and voice that it has been successful in helping with some of the painful symptoms of CRPS including symptoms related to circulation, discoloration, muscle atrophy, swelling, burning pain and more.

VECTTOR therapy works by sending small amounts of electrical stimulation to damaged tissues in the body. The therapy is meant to boost the body's natural process of responding to pain, by increasing circulation and thus producing hormones that facilitate healing. The therapy delivers intermittent pulses to stimulate surface nerves and block the pain signal, by delivering continuous deep stimulation into the affected tissue. This helps to relieve pain, increase circulation, decrease edema, and stimulate the muscles.

Indications for VECTTOR Interferential Current Therapy

Some of the indications for VECTTOR interferential current therapy include:

  • Pain relief in disorders such as neuralgia, causalgia, and herpes zoster
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis of the knee
  • Cervical spondylosis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis
  • Disc herniation
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Spinal canal stenosis
  • Muscle stimulation to prevent muscle wastage and maintain range of motion
  • Stress incontinence
  • Reduction of edema (accumulation of fluid in the cavities or tissues)
  • Ligamentous injuries
  • Muscle injuries

Contraindications for VECTTOR Interferential Current Therapy

VECTTOR interferential current therapy is a common pain-relieving modality without side effects that anti-inflammatory medications or oral painkillers have. As with any other therapeutic modality, it also has some contraindications such as:

  • Large open wounds
  • Infectious condition
  • Loss of sensation
  • Malignancy
  • Pacemaker
  • Danger of Hemorrhage
  • Pregnancy
  • Dermatological Conditions

How Does VECTTOR Interferential Current Therapy Work?

VECTTOR interferential current therapy is a type of electrostimulation based on anatomy, physiology, cellular physiology, reflexology, and acupuncture designed to stimulate the nerves to generate certain neuropeptides important for optimal body functioning. These neuropeptides are crucial for enhancing circulation to the nerves, muscles, bones, and skin, and for decreasing oxidative stress.

The VECTTOR system is designed to read feedback from the body through skin surface temperatures, throughout the treatment process. While the treatment is running, VECTTOR is constantly tracking the skin surface temperature looking for an increase in temperature indicating an increase in circulation. VECTTOR runs through a string of frequencies, looking for an increase in skin surface temperature of at least 1 degree Fahrenheit. Once VECTTOR establishes which of the several frequencies created the optimal response, it will automatically run that frequency for the period of treatment. Throughout the testing and treatment phase, temperatures are recorded on the SD card which can later be reviewed by your physician.

VECTTOR is not a drug therapy, infusion, or TENS unit, and there are no needles involved. VECTTOR therapy is designed to increase circulation at the cellular level throughout the body. This is done by the computer chip in VECTTOR analyzing temperature improvements in the fingers in response to frequency variations by the VECTTOR unit. Instead of placing the leads where the pain is, the system is designed to place several different leads on vital locations around your body, where crucial nerve endings are to help soothe and "reset" the nervous system.

Benefits of VECTTOR Interferential Current Therapy

Some of the benefits of VECTTOR interferential current therapy over other treatment modalities include:

  • Eliminates or decreases pain safely
  • Perceptible reduction in inflammation and swelling
  • Stimulates natural hormones that can help heal faster
  • Helps to restore lost movement and improve restricted movement and coordination
  • Regarded by many experts as an extremely effective type of treatment for chronic intractable pain

Summary

VECTTOR interferential current therapy has been in use for several years, and there have been many case studies and research reports that have recorded its versatility in treating various symptoms, restoring normal motion, and accelerating the healing process. People who opted to undergo VECTTOR interferential current therapy noted fewer complications compared to individuals who relied exclusively on medications for pain relief. In addition, it also aids in blood circulation and enhances the process of healing by stimulating endorphins.
